Description
This course will offer individuals a basic foundation to learn more about the respective concepts and theories of Urbex and Dark History. One will also learn more about various urbex sites in Malta and their accompanying history, as well as sites of dark history in Malta, where death is a core feature. This course will include facts about when sites were built, by whom and for what purpose. It will also include stories of death and murder which took place on our island.
The course includes:
- A definition of urbex.
- The do’s and don’ts while engaging in urbex.
- Items to take with you for urbex purposes.
- Urbex locations in Malta and their history.
- A definition of dark history/tourism.
- Theories and concepts of dark history/tourism.
- The mentioning of sites in Malta where the core feature is death, and the stories of tragic events of death.
- Each topic shall include quizzes, attached links to articles, videos and photos should one wish to carry out further independent research on the topics.
- I shall also briefly add my personal experiences of exploring certain abandoned sites in Malta.
